IDT
IDT's revenue rose 5.4% to $1.3 billion in fiscal 2026. Its operating margin was 9.3%, up from 8.2% a year earlier. Free cash flow was $68 million, down 36.1%. It paid out $6 million in dividends and buybacks, 10% of free cash flow. The diluted share count fell 1.1%.
Operating margin is operating income as a share of revenue. Free cash flow is cash from operations minus capital spending. Return on equity is net income as a share of shareholders' equity. Market cap is the last closing share price times the latest diluted share count, so it is approximate. P/E is the last close divided by diluted earnings per share over the last four quarters, or the latest fiscal year where the quarters aren't available; there is none when the company made a loss.
Charts show fiscal years, from the 10-K filings.
What IDT does
IDT sells financial technology and communications services, mainly to under-served consumer and business markets. It has six main businesses. National Retail Solutions sells point-of-sale terminals and software, plus payment processing and advertising on in-store screens, to independent retailers such as convenience stores, bodegas and liquor stores in the United States and Canada.
BOSS Money sends international and domestic money transfers, mostly through its apps, to about 50 destination countries. IDT Digital Payments sells prepaid mobile top-ups, mobile data bundles, digital gift cards and eSIMs, and Zendit, a platform for businesses. BOSS Revolution offers low-cost international calling, aimed mainly at immigrant communities in the United States and Canada, through an app and prepaid cards.
net2phone sells business communications software, including AI-powered tools, a cloud phone service and a contact center service. IDT Global sells wholesale international voice and text termination to telecom carriers around the world. IDT sells through its own digital channels, networks of retail agents, distributors and sales representatives.
Its biggest risks, as it describes them
- Its plan to use AI across its products and operations brings new risks.
- Errors, outages or cyberattacks on its networks and systems could disrupt service to customers.
- Changes in immigrant populations could hurt some of its businesses.
- It depends on distributors and sales representatives to market and sell its products.
- Its global operations expose it to geopolitical and other risks.
